Prices per vehicle, taxes and tolls included, one way, for Comfort / SUV (up to 4 passengers). Premium Van (up to 7) and larger vehicles on request. Other routes in Portugal on request. Night pick-ups (22:00 to 07:00): +20%. Transfers to the airport: 5 € less than the same route from the airport. Prices are "from" prices and are fixed when we confirm them in writing. For Pinhão and other Douro places farther than Peso da Régua, we add the extra distance and confirm the price in writing before the trip.

- No waiting time. Your driver is at arrivals when you come out: no taxi queues and no waiting for other passengers.
- Agreed pick-up time. We set the pick-up time with you when you book, and your driver is there on time.
- Direct transfer, door to door. Straight from your pick-up point to your address, with no shared stops.
- Meet & greet with a name sign at arrivals.
- Flight monitoring, so we follow any change to your arrival time.
- Help with your luggage, from the arrivals exit to your door.
- Water on board.
- Child seats: baby seat 5 €, child booster (from age 2) free of charge, subject to availability. Request at least 48 hours before; please tell us ages when you book.

Why “The Porter”?
Traditionally, a porter is the first person to welcome you on arrival, opening the door, helping with your luggage and making you feel at ease. At The Porter Tours, we take that role further, combining warm hospitality, private transport and local insight to help you experience Northern Portugal with confidence and authenticity.
We provide private transfers and tours across Porto, the Douro and Northern Portugal, with punctual, comfortable transport and honest local advice, so our guests can travel at their own pace.
The Porter Tours is a tourism activity operator under Portuguese law. We are registered in the National Register of Tourism Activity Operators (RNAAT) under no. 1095/2026, to organise tourist activities, routes and circuits in Portugal. The registration can be checked in the public RNAAT search of the Registo Nacional do Turismo.

How do I book?
Send us a request through the price form (transfers) or the tour request form, by email or on WhatsApp. We usually reply within 24 hours with a written quote. Your booking is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing, we send you a confirmation and any deposit stated in the quote has been paid.
How much does a transfer or tour cost?
Transfers are priced per vehicle, from 35 € from Porto Airport to the city centre (see the price table). Prices are "from" prices. For Pinhão and other Douro places farther than Peso da Régua, we add the extra distance and confirm the price in writing before the trip. Private tours start from 120 € per vehicle (half day in Porto) and from 240 € per vehicle in the Douro Valley, for up to 4 passengers (see the tours section). The base price covers the vehicle, fuel, tolls, parking and driver; entrance tickets, tastings, boat trips and meals are paid separately or included in your custom quote.
How much luggage can I bring?
Each suitcase can be up to 160 cm in total, and the Comfort / SUV takes up to 4 passengers, best suited to 2 or 3 people, with up to 3 suitcases in total (for example 2 medium + 1 cabin, or 1 large + 1 medium). Each passenger may also bring one small personal bag, such as a handbag or small backpack, that fits on the lap or at the feet. For more people or more luggage, tell us in your request and we send a larger vehicle, with the price confirmed before you travel.
How do I measure a suitcase?
Add length, width and height, measured at the largest points and including wheels and handle. Example: a suitcase of 75 × 50 × 30 cm is 155 cm, so it fits.
How can I pay?
By card, through a secure payment link that we send you by email or WhatsApp, or by bank transfer or cash. The website does not take payments, and we issue an invoice for every payment.
Are entrance tickets, tastings and meals included?
Only when the quote says so. Otherwise they are paid separately, and we are happy to suggest and book good places for you.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. The cancellation terms are in your quote. Please write to us by email or WhatsApp, and the time of your message counts. See our Terms and Conditions for details.
Where do we meet at the airport?
At the arrivals exit of Porto Airport, with a sign showing your name. We help with your luggage from there to the vehicle.
What if my flight is delayed?
We follow your flight and adjust the pick-up time to your actual landing. The first 60 minutes after landing are free. If anything changes, tell us as soon as you can. Any charge for longer waiting times is stated in your quote.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes. A baby seat costs 5 € and a child booster (from age 2) is free of charge, subject to availability. Request them at least 48 hours before your transfer. Portuguese law requires children under 12 and shorter than 135 cm to travel in a suitable child seat. Tell us the ages and approximate weight of the children when you book.
Are the tours private?
Yes. Every transfer and tour is for your party only, with no shared stops.
Can I add a dedicated guide to a tour?
Yes, as an optional extra on any tour. A certified local guide who specialises in the destination travels with you and adds the history, stories and context of each stop. The guide takes a seat, so in a car we recommend two guests in the back for comfort. For larger parties, ask us about a van. The price of the guide is stated in your quote.
